Safe Haven Glazed Walnuts
- 1/2 lb Half walnut pieces
- 1 Egg white
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsps 40 Knots Safe Haven Fortified Wine
Preheat your oven to 350°.
Select a cookie sheet with sides. For prepping use parchment paper or a silicone mat.
Beat the egg white until it appears foam-like, and before it begins to change to white color and peak. Stir in Safe Haven and nuts.
Place half walnuts in large mixing bowl. Pour over Safe Haven egg mixture, and stir until all nuts are well coated.
Transfer to cookie sheet and spread evening so that no nuts are covering others.
Bake 20-30 minutes. Stir at mid-time. In the last 10 minutes watch very carefully so as not to burn the tender walnuts.
When you take walnuts out of oven, stir until they are cooled and no longer sticky.
Transfer to a bowl and enjoy with a glass of 40 Knots Safe Haven!
