We offer wine tastings twice daily. We ask that you pre-book.
If the timing of a pre-booked tasting doesn’t work, you can visit any time during our
operating hours to enjoy a wine flight or glass, or to share a bottle
Guided Tasting

Cost: $15 per person
Enjoy a tasting of 4 of our coastal cool-climate varietals, selected by your guide. Hear about our biodynamic farming and enjoy in-depth discussions of how our wine is made naturally.

Vineyard Tour

Daily 11 am, 1 pm
Duration: 1 hour - 1.25 hours
Cost: $35 per person
Learn about everything 40 Knots in a 1 hour wine tasting and vineyard tour. This includes a tasting, and a pour of either your favourite sample, or another offering. Take home a complimentary wine yoke, and water bottle.
We will stop at each varietal and discuss the growing stages and our biodynamic farming methods. Depending on the time of year, you may find our crew pruning, managing our canopy or even harvesting!
The trail may be uneven so please wear appropriate shoes and clothing.
After your vineyard tour, you will be given a $5 coupon off a bottle of wine.

Premium Tasting

Daily: 12 pm, 2 pm
Duration: 30-40 mins
Cost: $25 per person
Try out premium wines in a 30-minute tasting, starting with our French traditional method sparkling wine and ending with our port-style or vin d'cure style wine. Enjoy a curated selection of food pairing to compliment the wines.

Build Your Own Picnic
Build Your Own Picnics are available all year round, but guests of
40 Knots Winery are welcome to bring their own snacks to enjoy.
Options include but are not limited to warm local baguette, Natural Pastures cheeses,
Noble Meats Charcuterie, vegan pepperoni, cured seafood, Justos Hummus,
As You Like it Chutney, Conscious Crackers, and more!
Both an official government issued primary ID (including foreign government issued) with name, picture and birth date, a secondary ID that includes name and signature or picture; such as a credit card or student ID. An expired ID may be used as long as it proves your age. If a server has any doubt about an ID, they may refuse service.
Primary ID examples: State or provincial driver’s licence (B.C. Driver’s Licence and Services Card, which combines the B.C. Driver’s Licence and Services cards counts as only one piece of ID), Citizenship card, First Nations status card, The federal Firearms Possession and Acquisition licence Secondary ID is used to verify the authenticity of the first piece, and must include;
- The holder's name
- Either the holder’s signature OR picture
Any acceptable piece of primary ID can be used as secondary ID. Examples of other acceptable secondary ID include: BC CareCard (now replaced) Interim driver’s licence (issued by ICBC), BC Transit ProPASS, University or college student card, Credit card, Canadian Blood Services donor card, Transport Canada’s Pleasure Craft Operator’s Card, Many bank cards and rewards cards, National Defence ID
